Tackle the Trek of a Lifetime in Support of Afghanaid! Have you ever dreamed of conquering a mountain while making a real difference to people’s lives? Thanks to our friends at Tribal Tracks, you now have the chance to do just that. Join Tribal Tracks' Mount Ararat Summer Summit in July 2026, an unforgettable adventure that will push your limits, connect you to nature, and raise vital funds for Afghanaid’s lifesaving programmes. Afghanistan is one of the most mountainous countries in the world, with over 75% of its terrain covered by mountains. For the communities living in these remote regions, isolation often leads to poverty and exclusion. By taking on this challenge, you will be helping Afghanaid deliver essential projects in these areas, from improving access to clean water and building sustainable livelihoods, to supporting women and girls and strengthening community resilience against climate disasters and humanitarian crises. The Adventure of a Lifetime Mount Ararat, rising to 5,137 metres above sea level, is the highest peak in Turkey and one of the most iconic mountains in the region. Ararat is a dormant volcanic cone and a significant landmark in Armenian and biblical history, identified by many as the resting place of Noah’s Ark. Situated only 16 kilometres from the Iranian border, the mountain offers unparalleled panoramic views across Turkey, Iran, and Armenia. Every pound you raise will go towards Afghanaid’s vital work supporting rural Afghan families, helping them rebuild their lives and achieve a future free from poverty. This trek is a self-funded challenge for charity. This means that you pay the cost of the trip yourself (the deposit and the balance) and then go on to fundraise for the charity independently.
